Jeanette Elaine Greer, 60, passed peacefully at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas on January 31, 2016.
Jeanette was born on April 11, 1955 in Mercedes, Texas to James and Jeanne Stone and was raised in Harlingen, Texas. She married F. Brooks Greer on June 7, 1974 and together they raised their son, John B. Greer.
Jeanette devoted herself to the family. She was kind hearted, loving, generous and had a tremendous love for animals. Her pride and joy was her son John and all he overcame in his life.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws John and Lea Moothart and Grover Greer; brothers-in law, Jim Scogin and Cleve Greer.
She is survived by her loving husband F. Brooks Greer; son, John B. Greer; brother John L.(Brenda) Stone; sister, Jamie (Jerry) Scogin Roberts; brother-in law, Ward Moothart; nieces, Jennifer (John) Scogin Lopez, Megan (Ricky) Sabrsual; nephews, Jason Scogin, Jeff (Katie) Stone, Brad (Chris), Perry, and Ryan Perry.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the family present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held Friday, February 05, 2016 at Mont Meta Memorial Park Cemetery at 10:00 am with Rev. David Mann, officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the various health care teams for giving Jeanette so much loving care and keeping her safe from pain. Their gift to our family was peace of mind, knowing she went from their caring hands to Gods. Special thanks to Jossy for her tender care of Jeanette through the years.
