Jeanette Brackin, 84, passed away April 6, 2015 in McGregor, TX.
Janette was born September 19, 1930 in Harlingen, TX to Noah Howard Dumas and Elva Wyrick Dumas.  She lived most of her life in Rio Hondo with exception of the last 5 years that she lived in Moody, TX.  Janette was employed with the Rio Hondo ISD and retired after 30 years of service as manager of the cafeterias.
She is survived by her daughter Velva Moody and husband Dennis of Troy, Texas, daughter Pam Crosswhite and husband Billy of Belton, Texas, and son Eddie Brackin and wife Cindy of Sugar Land, TX, her siblings Berlan Dumas, Geneva Johnson and Betty Sue Schott; grandchildren Marla (Moody) Hilliard and husband Moe, Cara (Moody) Self, Byron Crosswhite and wife Sara, Wesley Crosswhite, Ashlyn Brackin and Colten Brackin; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Janette was preceded in death by her parents, husband Pete Brackin and her brother Baron Dumas.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Buck Ashcraft funeral home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, April 10, 2015, 2:00 p.m., at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Dennis C. Moody officiating.  Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Colten Brackin, Joshua Hilliard, Ben Self, Cody Crosswhite, Mark Jones, and Ruben Gonzalez.  Honorary pallbearers will be Byron Crosswhite and Wesley Crosswhite.
