Harlingen:
James H. Daily, 85, passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
James was born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK and was a graduate of The University of Oklahoma. He enlisted with the Army Air Corp and was later commissioned as a Colonel in the United States Air Force, where he served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
James has been a resident of the Harlingen area for the past 40 years. He was a longtime faithful and working member at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Harlingen. He was also a Past President of the local chapter of the Rose Society.
He is survived by grandchildren; Aric King and his wife, Thanh of Maryland; Tina Leiter and her husband, Derrick of Virgina; Jimmy King and his wife, Natalie of Pennsylvania; also by great grandchildren, Richard, Ethan, Sidnye Alyra, Samantha, Brittney, and Roman. He is also survived by close friend, Walter Holder of Harlingen.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Edie Daily.
Memorial services will be held at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 8, 2015 with the Rev. Doug Hinchcliff officiating.
