Jack Charles (Chuck) Wolcott, of Los Fresnos, Tx. passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Harlingen Medical Center on Friday, November 30, 2018. He was 73.
Jack (Chuck) was born on January 23, 1945 in Mankato, Minnesota to H.E. (Jack) and Marjorie L. Wolcott.
He graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1964. He joined the Air Force on September 10, 1964 where he was an Accounting Specialist and served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1968. Then he went to work with his father and later took over their family owned business, South Texas By-Products in Los Fresnos.
He was always seeking adventure, whether it was caving in Mexico, riding his motorcycle all over the states, Jeep off roading in Colorado and traveling around in his motor home. He loved boating, camp fires at the deer lease, sunsets on The Bay and golfing trips with his buddies. He just loved life and made it a point to live it.
He was a parishioner at Our Lady Star of The Sea in Port Isabel where he was an active member of A.C.T.S. Missions and attended Eucharistic Adoration every Thursday as his health permitted.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Joe & Donna Bressler of Portland, Tx.; His son & daughter-in-law Kenneth and Linda Wolcott of Los Fresnos, Tx,; His son Mark Wolcott of Somerset, Ky.; His grandchildren: Bryan & Cristal Wolcott of Los Fresnos, Tx, Aaron Wolcott of Corpus Christi, Tx., Amber & Richard Riggs of Somerset, Ky, Ashley Wolcott of Somerset, Ky; His great-grandchildren Caylee Faith Wolcott, Christina Grace Wolcott, Noah Charles Wolcott, Elizabeth Katherine Riggs and Gracelyn Rose Wolcott. A niece & nephew Melissa & Mike Karl of Portland, Tx. along with their children, Christopher Karl, Rebecca Karl & David Karl.
As per his wishes there will be a visitation followed by a prayer service and Rosary on December 4, 2018 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home in Harlingen, Tx. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. with the prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. Military Honors will be conducted after the Rosary.
