J.E. “Jack” Harp, 88, went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2013 in Corpus Christi.
He was born September 1, 1924 in Okmulgee, OK .He moved to Corpus Christi, TX from Harlingen TX in 1999. He was a retired Master Plumber. Jack served in WWII and received a Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents LuLa and Herbert Harp, Brother; Kenneth Harp, and his sister; Maxine Harp West.
Jack is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Betty” Harp; daughters, Sharon (David) Truax, and Jackie (Steve) Shults both of Corpus Christi; his sister, Marion Tieman of San Benito, TX; his grandchildren, Leiann Truax Graham, Kyle (Kati) Truax, Jonathan (Jennifer) Truax, Kamra Shults; and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home in Harlingen, TX on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Graveside services will follow in the mausoleum at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, TX at 2:00 p.m.
