Ivan Scott, 87, passed away September 15, 2015 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. Ivan was born in 1928 to Wilburn Scott and Gladys Ryan Scott in Iowa City, Iowa. He served his country with the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard and was a Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Toledo.
Ivan is survived by his sons, John of Harlingen, TX, Thomas of Glenwood Springs, CO, and David (Jennifer) of Charlotte, NC; a brother Alan of Washington State; and a sister, Carolyn.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Wagenknect officiating.
