SAN BENITO, TX. – Irma S. Herrera, born on September 23, 1945 in San Benito, Texas, died peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was 69 years old.

Her father, Juan Sauceda; and sisters, Arcelia Cortez and Yolanda Torres, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her loving husband, Tomas Herrera, Sr.; children Tomas (Mary) Herrera, Jr., Ricardo (Lupita) Herrera, and Laura (Roy, Jr.) Zepeda; grandchildren Jennifer Herrera, Alexandra Barraza, Jacqueline Castillo, JoAnn, Tomas Ricardo, Lauren, Abby, and Alyssa Herrera, Troy, Trey, and Roy Zepeda III; great-grandchildren Dezmon Castillo, Jaxon, and Kiley Barraza; mother, Dolores Sauceda; and siblings, Juan Sauceda, Jr. (Juanita) and Mary Jane (Jim) Castillo.

Visiting hours are today, Friday, August 7, 2015 beginning at one o’clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o’clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o’clock Friday evening within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel, 1400 West Highway 77, San Benito, Texas 78586.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at one o’clock in the afternoon, in St. Helen's Catholic Church of Rio Hondo, Texas, with Father Rigobert Pouland Mot officiating.

Committal services will then follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
