Irene Korbas Lynch, 99, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at her residence in Port Isabel, TX.
Irene was born on May 30, 1916 in Herrin, Illinois to Joseph and Sophie Korbas. She was a 1932 graduate of Santa Rosa High School and lived most of her life in the Santa Rosa, Hardin Ranch, San Benito and Port Isabel communities.
Irene is survived by her son, James Lynch of McAllen; daughters, Wanda Carruth of Port Isabel and Gladys (Jack) Walling of San Antonio; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hermon Lynch.
A memorial celebration of Irene’s life will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 2:00 PM, Monday, December 28, 2015. Private burial will be held at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
