Hubert “Red” Minor, 81, passed away July 26, 2015 in Harlingen.
Red was born December 31, 1933 in Rangerville, TX to Hugh Foster Minor and Irena Ogden Minor. He was employed by Valley Shamrock and retired as a transport manager.
Red was a member of San Benito Elks Lodge and Rangerville Baptist Church. He was a musician with the band named the Rio Wranglers and enjoyed boating, RVing, motorcycles and sitting on the front porch.
Red is survived by his wife Darlene Minor; children, Matthew (Charlene) Minor, Jeff S. (Debbie) Minor, Cindy (Brian) Strang; grandchildren, Jeff D. (Shorty) Minor, Billy (Sarah) Patrum, Jessica (Matt) Fleckenstein; and Krystal Strang; and great grandchildren, Kaylee, Paige, Carter and Foster.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine Minor; daughter, Deborah Minor; son, Steve Minor; brother, Secrel Minor and John Minor; Aunt Fannie Peters; and great grandson, Caden Patrum.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in La Feria.
