Horace Price, Jr., 55, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at his home in Weslaco, TX.
Horace was born in Harlingen, Texas on August 2, 1956 in Harlingen, Texas to Horace and Ruth Price. He was employed and retired from the H.E.B. Transportation Department.
Horace was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Price; father, Horace Price; sister, Ruby Price Wylie; daughter-in-law, Maribel Sanchez Price, and niece Tanya Yvette Wylie.
He is survived by his wife, Irma Price; sons, Jeremiah Price, Horace Price III (Bonnie), Oliver James Price, Paul Frederick Price; grandchildren, Mya Sherrice, Gavin Julius, Anferny Amri, Amree Danai ,Paul Isaiah; and his aunt, Eva Manning. He is also survived by five nieces and three nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 5, 2011 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011, 10 a.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Justice officiating. Interment will follow at Harlingen-Combes Cemetery in Combes.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Price, Horace Price III, Oliver James Price, Paul Frederick Price, Anthony Wylie and Richard Gutierrez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Wylie, Johnny Bernard, Manuel Lopez, Cindy Vela, Joe Torres and the H.E.B. Transportation Department.
