Herbert Moss III, 70, passed away January 17, 2014 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville due to complications from congestive heart failure.
Herbert was born November 3, 1943 in Winnfield, Louisiana to Herbert Moss Jr. and Antoinette Brite Moss Harkrider. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam and studied at the University of Texas in Austin. Herb was employed by Troy Giles Realty as a real estate broker. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by his children, Antoinette Simon (Steve) of Houston, TX; Herbert Moss IV of San Antonio, TX; six grandchildren, Holden Simon, Jack Simon, Sam Simon all of Houston, Eban Moss, Gage Moss, and Zane Moss all of San Antonio, TX; and sister, Diana Walker.
Herb was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Moss Jr. and Antoinette Moss Harkrider; and nephew, Scott Dale Adair.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014, 2:00 P.M., at Chapel by the Sea with Jim Denham officiating.
Family and friends will celebrate the life of Herb at Louie’s Backyard immediately following the service.
