Helen M. Heitshusen, 87, passed away on July 30, 2009 at Solara Hospital in Harlingen. Helen was born December 4, 1921 in Millersburg, Iowa to Wade and Fern King. She had been a resident of the Valley for 20 years and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Harlingen.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Wade King and Fern Roberts King and her husband, Orville Heitshusen.
She is survived by her daughters, Sonnie White and husband Gordon and Dixie Cochran and husband, Ralph; one brother, Bill King, four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
Pallbearers will be David Hussey and Garth Heitshusen.
