Hector Ontiveros, 49, of Los Fresnos passed away Monday morning January 29, 2018. Hector was born on March 14, 1968 to Tomas and Flora Ontiveros and worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 18 years. Mr. Ontiveros is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Francisca Hernandez, and paternal grandparents, Natividad & Alejandra Ontiveros. Left to carry on his legacy and treasure his memory are his wife, Dolores Ontiveros; his parents, Tomas and Flora Ontiveros; brothers and sisters, Gracie Alexandre, Tencha (Julio) Cavazos, Tomas (Angelica) Ontiveros Jr., Adelina (Argelio) Torres; father and mother in-law, Jose and Maria Guerrero; brothers-in-law, Joe (Kim) Guerrero, Martin (Carmen) Guerrero, Mike Guerrero, George (Blanca) Guerrero; sisters-in-law, Juanita (Rey) Abrego and Marissa (James) Hoffman. Visitation will take place at San Benito Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 9:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at St Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Los Fresnos, Texas. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Alexandre, Thomas Gonzalez, Tomas Ontiveros, Jr. George Guerrero, Mike Guerrero and Frank Alexandre.
