Guadalupe Arnoldo Martinez

Guadalupe Arnoldo Martinez Sr. peacefully passed from this life January 11, 2023 at 78 years of age. He was born September 30, 1944 to Jose Guadalupe Martinez and Olga Bermea Cantu in Harlingen, Texas.

He was a wonderful storyteller and loved going out to eat. He enjoyed his ranch and had a passion for horses, roosters, fishing and hunting. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren play sports.

Left to treasure Arnoldo’s memory is his wife of fifty-six years, Cecilia Martinez; his children, Nelda Prince (Todd), Guadalupe Arnoldo Martinez, Jr. (Dora), Rolando Martinez (Priscilla), Jerardo Martinez (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Conner Prince, Garrett Prince, Arianna Martinez, Gabriel Martinez, Natalie Martinez, Ryan Martinez, Isaac Martinez, Eddie Martinez, Sabrina Rivera; great grandchildren Azalea and Liam; his sisters, Alicia Torres, Olga Cortez, and Esmeralda Leal.

The Martinez family will receive relatives and friends for visitation on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A time of praise/worship and sharing will take place at 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

On Saturday, January 14, 2023, a service will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Afterwards at 10:45 a.m. the funeral procession will depart to Mont Meta Memorial Park where Arnoldo will be laid to rest.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are his grandsons Conner Prince, Garrett Prince, Gabriel Martinez, Ryan Martinez, Isaac Martinez, and Eddie Martinez.
