Guadalupe (Gonzales) Sanchez

Guadalupe Gonzales Sanchez entered into eternal rest on March 14, 2019.  She was born in San Benito, TX to Aurelio Gonzales, Sr. and Virginia Gonzales on November 20, 1949.

Guadalupe loved being a homemaker, spending time with her grandchildren, and playing bingo.  She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.

Her parents and her brothers, Aurelio Gonzales, Jr. and Jesus Amadio Gonzales, preceded Guadalupe in death.

Left to treasure her memory are her husband, Erasmo Sanchez; children, Roque (Margie Veloria) Sanchez, Samantha S. (Joseph) Caceres, Monica Sanchez Olivas, Erasmo (Monica C.) Sanchez II; grandchildren, Michael A. Sanchez, Steven Sanchez, Joseph (Michael) Caceres, Casandra N. Caceres, Rodolfo (Rudy) Caceres, Ashley Sanchez, Erasmo Sanchez III, Santana Sanchez, Rebecca Sanchez, Diego Sanchez, Nikki Cruz Olivas, Christopher J. Sanchez.  Her siblings, Virginia Cortez, Macedonio Gonzales, Estella G. Lamar, Alfonso Gonzales, Maria Pamfila Gonzales, Maria Theresa Gonzales, Barbara G. Ruiz, Rosalie G. Rodriguez, Esperanza G. Banda, and Gloria G. Banda also survive Guadalupe.

The Sanchez family thanks the ICU staff at Harlingen Medical Center 2nd Floor for the compassion and excellent care Guadalupe received while in the hospital.

Guadalupe’s family will be receiving friends and relatives on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 3:00 to 9:00 PM at San Benito Funeral Home.  There will be a recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM.  Funeral services for Guadalupe will conclude on Sunday evening.
