Staff Sgt. Guadalupe Maldonado Jr., 36, U.S. Army entered into eternal rest on Saturday February 1, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Pedro and Juanita A. Maldonado, maternal great grandmother Sabina T. Martinez and uncle Emilio “Gordy” Vital Jr.
He is survived by his son, Joshua E. Maldonado, daughter Vivian E. Maldonado, his parents Janie Maldonado and Guadalupe A. Maldonado and his step mother Olga Maldonado. He is also survived by his sibling, Michael (Wendy) Maldonado that gave him two nephews, Steven Maldonado, Sarah (Gabriel) Maldonado, Laura Maldonado, Samuel Maldonado, Sofia Maldonado, his grandparents, Emilio and Elida Vital, god parents, Mimi (Anna) Martinez, Sandy (Lou) Martinez Michael and Lucy Swartz, Ray and Mita Miranda. Great aunts and uncles, Luis and Christina Becerra, Ralph and Angie Gonzalez, Angel and Petra Maldonado, NinfaYsaguirre, Joe and Olga Garcia, Robert and Tila Maldonado and Victor and Adela Maldonado. Aunts and uncles, Mario and Angelita M. Vela, Pedro Maldonado Jr., Rosa Maldonado, Ramiro and Cerilda Maldonado, Michael and Lucy Swartz, Orlando and Delia M. Lumbreras, Orlando and Dalia M. Flores, Phillip and Toni Villarreal, Herlinda Maldonado, Joe and Hermelinda Saenz, Jose Angel Maldonado and many cousins, dear friends and fraternity brothers.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 5, 2014 at San Benito Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday February 6, 2014 at San Benito Funeral Home with Pastor Juan Salinas officiating. Interment will be held at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Honarary pallbearers will be Angel Lopez, Roman Lopez, Ray Rodriguez, David Montemayor, Benny Pena, Johnny Abrego and Jesse Ortega.
