Lupe, as she was known to her family and friends, was born, raised and lived most of her adult and married life in San Benito. She was a very giving person. While living in San Benito she and her husband donated a lot of their time to St. Joseph Catholic Church by helping with the church festivals. She was a devout Catholic and a member of the Sacred Heart Society. Lupe never met a stranger because no matter where she was, she would strike up conversations with anyone sitting next to her. Mima as she known to her grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoyed cooking for everyone. She enjoyed attending her great grandchildren’s baseball games, soccer games, football games and volleyball events. Lupe and her husband also loved to attend dances with their best friends, the late Luis Moody and his wife, Aurora; and the late Fidel Martinez and his wife Lupe.
