Guadalupe L. Benavidez was called to be with our lord and savior on Sunday, the 22nd of May 2016 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was seventy- seven years old. Born on the 2nd of November 1938 in Los Fresnos,Texas to her parents Rodrigo Luna and Isidra De Los Santos.
She is preceded in death by her parents Rodrigo and Isidra Luna, her siblings Rodrigo Luna Jr., Juan Luna, Carlota Luna, and her son Roberto Benavidez
Survivors include her loving husband Jose R. Benavidez, son Adrian Benavidez, daughter Isaura Figueroa, and her siblings Crispina Ceballos, Aurora Cruz, and Ventura Luna. Her grandchildren Andrew J. Benavidez, Aaron N. Benavidez, Patricia Benavidez, Victor F. Figueroa, Oscar S. Figueroa, and Jacob E. Figueroa.
Visiting hours are on Wednesday, the 25th of May 2016, beginning at 3:00 pm in the afternoon and concluding at 9:00 pm at night, with a rosary to begin at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel, 1400 West Highway 77, San Benito, Texas 78586.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Thursday, the 26th of May 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in the morning at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Interment will then follow to Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos, TX.
