Grover Cleveland Greer, Jr., 83, of Brandon, MS passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012.
Mr. Greer was a horticulturalist but his most rewarding work was his time working with the AA community and at Baptist Behavioral Health Services. He kept up with all of his friends and had the ability to let everyone feel as though they were a part of his life.
Mr. Greer is survived by his wife of 46 years, Emily Faulk Greer; son, Frank Brooks Greer (Jeanette) of Harlingen, Texas; step-son, Dr. John Keith Mansel (Darri) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and five grandchildren, John Brooks Greer, Emily Brooke Olander, Justin Olander, Ferriday McClatchy, and Jane Mansel. He is also survived by brother-in-law, John Faulk (Patsy) of Vicksburg, Mississippi; niece, Kena Faulk; nephew, John Faulk; and a son-in-law, Bubba Olander of Meridian, Mississippi.
Mr. Greer was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Greer Sr. and Rona Yates Greer; a brother, Frank Greer; a son, Grover Cleveland, III; and a step-daughter, Cynthia Jane Olander.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012, 3 p.m., at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
Arrangements are with Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
