Cain Wilson

July 23, 1977 — February 23, 2018

“I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13

Gregory Cain Wilson, 40, suddenly passed away on February 23, 2018.  Our most giving and loving husband, father, uncle, son and friend slipped from our arms to enter forever peace with his Creator.

He was known and will forever be missed by his family and friends for his warm, sensitive personality, as well as his kindness, patience, creativity and wit.  But without question, Cain’s devotion to myself, along with the love for his beautiful daughters, Helen and Lyni, will be part of his lasting legacy.

Cain had the most vibrant personality and giving heart of anyone on Earth.  He was always here to listen when anyone needed to talk. If I were to pick one word that we used to describe each other…it would be “soulmates”.

Without Cain, our hearts are broken and our tears endless, but our memories and joys are immeasurable. His laughter and smile will never leave us.

Cain leaves behind his wife Wendy Wilson; daughters, Helen and Carolyn Wilson; father and second mom Greg and Laura Wilson; his mother Mary; brother Obie (Tanya) Wilson; sister Nicole(Dusty) Roberts; father-in-law Johnny Rhyner; brothers-in-law Buck (Stephanie) Rhyner and Ryan (Jennifer) Rhyner: Uncle Blaine (Sherri) Wilson and of course, many friends and family whose lives he touched.

Cain is now in heaven looking over each and every one of us, free from pain and at peace. Rest my handsome Cain, until we meet again. Know that we will keep and protect your memories forever in our hearts.

Heaven has truly received another angel…

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Rio Hondo Baptist Church where Cain and Wendy worship.  A reception will be held in the fellowship hall immediately following the service.  Please pray for the Wilson and Rhyner families during this difficult time.

Honorary pallbearers: Buck Rhyner, Ryan Rhyner, Ty Rhyner, Jake Rhyner and Obie Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Rio Hondo Baptist Church, diabetes/cancer research or a charity of your choice.
