Gonsalo H. Sosa

San Benito, TX- Gonsalo Sosa, 72, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He graduated in 1957 from Harlingen High School where he was involved in the FFA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Demetreo, Sr. and Francisca Sosa; his brothers, Ernesto Sosa and Demetreo Sosa, Jr.; his sisters, Carmen Moreno and Margarita Aguilar; a nephew, Orlando Sosa; and a niece, Patty Hernandez.
Gonsalo is survived by his wife of 40 years, San Juana V. Sosa; and a daughter, Maribel Sosa (Abran) Gonzales; his brothers and sisters, Guadalupe Hernandez, Tomasita Garcia, Andrea (Beto) Ortiz, Alonzo (Sylvia) Sosa, Estrella (Juan) Hernandez, Maria Sosa, and Jesus Sosa.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M with the Holy Rosary prayed at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral precession will depart San Benito Funeral Home today, Friday, May 18, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. JOseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Armando Sosa, Jose Aguilar, Armando Velazquez, Arturo Velazquez, Javier Alonzo Sosa, and Rolando Lozano.
