Gloria Antoinette “Tony” Haley, 81, passed away on October 28, 2011 at Trisun Healthcare Assisted Living in Corpus Christi.
Tony was born October 2, 1930 in Corpus Christi, TX. She graduated from Raymondville High School and was employed by Sears, Gulf Welding Supply and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where she retired from in 1994. Tony was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harlingen, Texas and enjoyed attending church, playing cards with her friends, and walking. She never met a stranger, always sharing how much she loved each person she knew and how much God loved them.
Tony was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Lee Bray Cole.
She is survived by her brother, W.R. “Boscoe” (Arlette) Cole of Raymondville, TX, one sister, Georgia Blair of El Paso, TX; two daughters, Kathy (Jan) Vilseck of Coldwater, MS and Ella (Jack) Tucker of Corpus Christi, TX; four grandchildren, Robert Vilseck of Coldwater, MS, Elizabeth Patterson of Corpus Christi, TX, Stephanie Patterson of Austin, TX and Jeff (Cristal Ortiz) Patterson of Corpus Christi, TX; two great grandchildren, Maya Elizabeth Ortega and Ethan Wayne Patterson both of Corpus Christi, TX; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2011, 2 p.m., at Harlingen-Combes Cemetery with Rev. Wade Hood officiating.
