Gloria S. Griggs, 86, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at her residence in Harlingen.
Gloria was born on October 14, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to Lou and Mary Segal. She sold Brittanica Encyclopedias for many years until her retirement. She moved to Harlingen in 1992 where she resided at several mobile home parks in the area and at the Golden Palms Retirement Center.
She is survived by her husband, William H. Griggs of Harlingen and caretakers, Luisa Garcia and Sandra Delway.
Visitation hours will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 25, 2015 at the funeral home.
Interment will be held at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, TX, 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 27, 2015.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
