Gloria Villarreal Dieck, 85, left this earth on Thursday, June 7, 2012 to join her loving husband of 59 years, who preceded her in death five years ago.
Gloria was born in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico to Euleteria and Leopoldo Villarreal on December 27, 1926. She was raised and educated in Oxnard, CA, before she and her family returned to Monterrey, Mexico, where she met and married the love of her life, Juan Antonio Dieck. She spent a great deal of her energy and devoted herself to her family and to support her husband’s business and medical practice.
In 1955, the couple moved to Harlingen, TX, where Gloria became very involved in many charitable and service organizations. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for decades.
Gloria is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John A. Dieck, Jr. and Aida Guajardo Dieck; by her three granddaughters, Melissa Aida Dieck, Alexandra Michelle Dieck, and Sofia Alexia Dieck; and by a large extended family of nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10, with a Rosary being held at 7:00 PM, Sunday at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 1:00 PM, Monday, June 11, 2012 with private entombment services following at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Her family and friends will miss her greatly, yet gain comfort knowing she is in God’s grace and with her loving husband.
