Harlingen:
Glenn W. Brady, 74, passed away on February 29, 2016 at his residence in Harlingen.
Glenn was born in San Benito, Texas on October 05, 1941 to Paul and Covellia Brady. He was a graduate of Pan American University where he received a Bachelor Degree in Business.
Glenn then began a career with Burton Auto Supply that lasted 52 years. He worked his way up thru the company eventually becoming a General Manager with their store in Harlingen. He also served on the Board of Directors with Burton Auto for a number of years.
He was a longtime member of the Harlingen Elks Lodge #1889 where he especially loved to play pool. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling with many friends and family.
Glenn is survived by his wife; Judy Brady of Harlingen, son; Stephen Brady and his wife, Jennifer of Frisco, TX, and granddaughter; Kaplan Brady also of Frisco, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family wishes to acknowledge Dr. Cynthia Garcia and her staff, Dr. Shereef Hilmy, Dr. Timothy Bothwell and longtime family friends Eddie and Pat McKinzie for all their care and concern.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
A memorial gathering for family and friends celebrating Glenn’s life will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Saturday, March 12, 2016.
