Rev. Gerald E. Parks died in his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 16, 2010. He was born April 8 at the Methodist Episcopal Parsonage in Rice, Kansas to George V. and Olive L. Parks.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia of 33 years; 3 daughters, Cynthia and Willie Wilcox of Lake Whitney, TX, Katherine and Thomas Weaver of Waco, TX, Sherri and John Street of Wellington, KS; 4 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, 3 great grandchildren, 1 niece, LeaAnn and Jamie Hunter of Ft. Collins, CO and 1 great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, brother-in-law and great niece.
Visitation will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with the family receiving visitor’s from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Monday, October 18, 2010.
Funeral services and interment will be held in Hillsboro, TX on Wednesday, October 20, 2010.
