San Benito/Blanco, TX: Georgia Ann Taubert, 74, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013 in Blanco, TX after a short illness.
Georgia was born December 17, 1938 in Fairfield, TX to Marion and Clara Green. She was a longtime resident of San Benito until recently moving to Blanco, TX to be near family.
Georgia earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1960 and a Master of Science Degree in 1979 from Texas A& I University in Kingsville. She was involved in education for 34 years as a Teacher and Assistant PRincipal, the last 17 years with Harlingen CISD. She was a member of Delta Kappa Ganna, PEO, and the First United Methodist Church in San Benito.
Family member include her daughter Cynthia (Les) Warner of Blanco, TX; son, Brian King of Longview, TX; grandchildren, Justin Warner of Steamboat Springs, CO, Alyssa Warner of San Antonio, TX, Mackenzie Warner of Blanco, TX; nephews, Bobby Green of Kyle, TX and Geri Green Wollmers of Houston, TX; mother-in-law, Leora Taubert of Harlingen; brothers & sisters-in-law, J.B. and Sue Ann Taubert of Rio Hondo, TX, Gene and Joyce Taubert of Harlingen, Dennis and Donna Taubert of Rio Hondo, TX.
Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Ernie" Taubert, Jr., brother, Joe Green, father-in-law, Ernest Taubert and her parents.
Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with family present from 4:00 PM to 6 PM, Sunday November 3, 2013 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at the Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 10:00 AM, Monday, November 4, 2013 with Rev. Jason adams officiating. Burial will follow at Mont Meta memorial Park.
Pall bearers will be family members Les Warner, Justin Warner, Bob Green, J.B. Taubert, Gene Taubert and Dennis Taubert.
Those desiring to do so may make memorial donations to the charity of choice.
