George W. “Buddy” Finch, Jr, 62, passed away very peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 3, 2013.
He was devoted to his family. He enjoyed nature, spending time outdoors and loved wildlife. He was retired from AEP as a Services Supervisor after 41 years of service. He retired in May of 2010. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Los Fresnos, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father George W. Finch and his mother Betty Finch.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Debby Finch; his sons Terry James (Ana) Finch, Kristopher Kelly (Alicia) Finch, Jason Harley (Shanna Messbarger) Finch; his brothers Jackie (Shiela) Finch, Bruce (Yohanna) Finch, Mike (Debbie) Finch, Danny Finch; his sister Candy (Glen) Divin; his grandchildren Elizabeth Finch, Megan Finch; his mother-in-law Dolores Gilliland and other in laws.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at San Benito Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at San Benito Funeral Home with Pastor Dale House and Pastor Melissa Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be his sons Terry Finch, Kristopher Finch, Jason Finch, his nephews Jeremy Finch, Joshua Finch and Micah Finch. The honorary pallbearers will be his brothers Bruce Finch, Mike Finch, his friends Terry Ligori, Tim David and Neil Taylor.
