George P. Caudill

HARLINGEN:
George P. Caudill, 88, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2007 at his residence in Palm Valley.
George was born August 12, 1918 in Hobart, OK to Nell and Robert Lee E. Caudill.  He attended Hobart Public Schools and graduated high school from Oklahoma Military Academy.  The first 2 years of college he attended Oklahoma Military Academy and then became the owner/operator of 3 gas stations in Hobart, OK.  He married Margaret Dugan of Lone Wolf, OK.    He then attended Texas A & M College until he served as Army Captain in WW II.  He returned to Hobart, OK and reopened Caudill Motor Company which he owned and operated for 40 years until he retired and moved to Harlingen, TX.
George is survived by his wife, Margaret Caudill; daughter, Mary Cathleen Caudill; and 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Patrick Joseph Caudill and Robert James Caudill.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2007, 1 p.m., at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Rev. David Mann officiating.  A reception will follow the service for family and friends at the Harlingen Country Club at 2 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hobart Public Library in Hobart, OK.
