George L. Barbee
November 26, 1942 — March 28, 2017
George was born in Pharr, TX and raised in La Feria, TX. He left the valley when he was 18 to join the U.S. Marines; he served 4 years and was a Vietnam Veteran.
After serving his country, George was employed with the Federal Government. He traveled the world working with the Department of Defense for 38 years.
George had 7 brothers and loved all, many nieces and nephews which he also loved. He enjoyed boating, golf and his beloved little dog Fancy.
George has a son Allen, a daughter Gina and step-son Tim that he considered his own. George was blessed 2 years ago by Tim’s wife Janice who donated one of her kidneys. George called her his Angel.
George is survived by his loving wife Linda. They were married for 27 years; the love they had for one another was made in Heaven. This marriage was a love story.
He will be truly missed by all.
May God love him and keep him in his hands.
