Frank Jow

Harlingen:
Frank Jow, 87, passed away July 23, 2014 at Harlingen Medical Center.
Frank was born Fort Bragg, CA to Jue Jow Wah and Yep Shee Jow on July 11, 1927.  His education included 8 years of grammar school, 4 years of high school and 3 years of college.  Frank served his country with the U.S. Army from April 1946 to April 1947 and then from November 1952 to October 1954 during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharge in 1954 with the rank of PFC.  Frank married Grace Co who preceded him death on April 30, 2010.  He was employed as a chemist for Psfizer.   He was a member of the Audobon Society, AAA, a member of the VFW and member of the First Church of the Nazarene in San Francisco, California.  Frank enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, foreign languages, traveling, science and chemistry.
Frank is survived by his friend, Laura Estrada, the person whom he considered his only family.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10 am at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
