Francisca O. (Ortiz) Solorio

Francisca O. Solorio entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on January 8, 2023 at eighty-nine years of age. She was born October 4, 1933 in San Luis, Potosí, México.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Salvador Solorio; her grandson, Zachary Noel Solorio; and her parents, José Luis Ortiz and Juanita Yánez de Ortiz.

Francisca had a love for baking, gardening, but most importantly caring for her many grandchildren who she treasured the most. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and served with the Sacred Heart Society for many years.

Left to treasure her memory and honor her legacy are her children, Ninfa Zamora, Nora (Ernesto) Villarreal, Norma (Aaron) Diaz, Cynthia Nereyda (Jesse) Ortiz, Nelda Solorio, Luis Carlos (Allison) Solorio; Eluid David Solorio, and Kimberly (Albert) Esparza; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

The Solorio family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Following the Mass. Francisca will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ernesto Villarreal III, Vincent Edward Villarreal, Luis Carlos Villarreal, Nicholas Joel Moa, Marcus Andrew Moa, and Dominick Andrew Solorio. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Anthony Villarreal and Derrick Alexander Solorio.
