Harlingen:
Frances Earlene Crouch, 83, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center after a short illness.
Earlene was born February 12, 1927 in Hutto, TX to Robert and Frances Curlee. She was a former employee with the Aldine Independent School District working with Food Service for many years. She was a former resident of New Caney, TX and moved to Harlingen in 1999 to live with her daughter. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Combes.
Earlene is survived by son, Tommy Earl Crouch (Renae); daughter, Sondra I. Turk (Buck); brothers, Judge Melvin Curlee and Marvin Sessions Curlee; sisters, Marilyn Joyce Orr and Shirley Jean Scott; grandchildren, Buckey Turk, Duane Rohde, Brodie Turk, Kenneth Rhode, Bretta Turk Rodriguez, Carrie Holmes and Tommy Earl Crouch, Jr.; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lillie Stringer Crouch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilton Lewis Crouch, grandson, Brent Turk and her parents.
Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the family receiving guest from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Friday, August 27, 2010 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Combes, 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 28, 2010 with Bro. Steve Wiest and Kenneth James officiating. Burial services will be held at the Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, TX, 10:00 AM, Monday, August 30, 2010.
