Fran J. Scheiner, 92, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
Fran was born on March 27, 1916 in Pittsburgh, PA to Joseph and Mary Scheiner. He graduated from Harlingen High School in 1935 and soon after joined the United States Air Force and served proudly during World War II.
Fran was a mechanic by trade and worked for Boggus Motor Company in Harlingen for over 30 years. He was a member of the Harlingen Elks Lodge #1889 and an avid outdoorsman where he loved to fish, hunt and garden.
Fran is survived by daughter, Karren Scheiner; son, Randy Scheiner; granddaughter, Shara Scheiner; grandsons, Derek Hill and Cass Hill; and great granddaughter, Kyler Hill.
A Memorial Service will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 4:00 PM, Saturday, September 27, 2008.
