Floyd W. Keene

Floyd William Keene went to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 24, 2017.
Floyd was born in Lyford, Texas on April 21, 1939 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Keene. He was a longtime resident of Willacy County and retired from banking in 1999. He enjoyed fishing and golf, but most of all, the time he spent with his family.
Floyd is survived by two daughters, Cavita Evette Flores and Patricia Jean Mumford; six grandchildren, Burgandy Cherie Nieto, Hayden Quinn Flores, Lane Matthew Flores, Lauren Kathryn Partain, Michael Chase Partain and Logan William Flores; two sisters, Daisy N. Brown and Dolly B. Evans; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert A. Keene, Jr. and Lloyd H. Keene. Also by two sisters, Cavita Mae Kimmel and Lillie Joy Rust.
Visitation hours will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Lyford, 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 27, 2017 with burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery also in Lyford.
