Flora Ontiveros

Flora Ontiveros, 84, passed peacefully on November 17, 2023 in Harlingen, Texas.  She was born to the late Refugio Rodriguez and Francisca Hernandez Rodriguez on August 10, 1939.

Flora was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Refugio and Francisca Rodriguez; her son, Hector Ontiveros, and her grandson, Anthony Ontiveros.

Left to treasure her memory is her husband, Tomas Ontiveros Sr., her children, Graciela Alexandre, Hortencia (Julio) Cavazos, Tomas Ontiveros Jr. (Angelica), and Adelina Torres (Argelio); her grandchildren, Roberto Alexandre Jr., Frank T. Alexandre; Kimberly Sosa (Marcus), Steven Cavazos, Laura Cavazos, Vanessa Ontiveros, Samantha Ontiveros, Marcos Ontiveros John P. Gonzalez, Thomas W. Gonzalez, James P. Gonzalez, Loni R. Gonzalez; and great grandchildren, Shanelle, Alysha, Kaylee, Frank Jr., Savanah, Cameron, Andrew, Emma, Aaliyah, and Nikolai.

The Ontiveros family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 o’clock on Friday evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Following the Mass, Flora will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
