THE COWBOY RIDES AWAY
Fedo Garcia, 76, left this earth on December 20, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Pepe Garcia, his brother, Peppy Jr., and his sister, Wanda Blair.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Linda; his adored children, Laney (Scott ) Davis, Buck (Kelsey “Mae”) Garcia and Nikki (Cary) Charvet; granddaughters, Reid Davis and Dell Davis; grandsons, Reese Garcia and Hayes Garcia; brothers, Lamar (Cindy) Garcia, Tony (Donna) Garcia; and sisters, Steffie (Ed Lenamon) Garcia and Delores (Carlos) Lopez. There are also several nieces, nephews, and cousins that will mourn his passing, as well as his favorite cousin, Gerald Crawford.
There will be no formal services, but instead a celebration of his life on January 5, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. The family wishes this to be an informal gathering of friends and family where we can mingle, recall and share anecdotes and maybe even a few tall tales. No suits and ties, please. Boots and jeans will be more than appropriate.
Fedo had only two jobs in his life. One was the U. S. Army, which was not by choice, and the other was the cattle industry. This was his primary focus until he experienced grandchildren, and oh, but he was a doting Rah Rah.
The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to our Godsend, Ofelia Casares.
If you so desire, donations may be made to St. Alban’s Episcopal Day School, 1417 E. Austin, Harlingen 78550 in Fedo ‘s name.
