Everett J. Driskill of Harlingen, Texas passed away on May 20th at the age of 88 years old due to natural causes at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
Ev was born in Mason City, Iowa on September 18, 1928 to Everett and Charlotte Driskill. He graduated from high school and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Ev spent two years in Virginia and met and married Claire Butler. They moved back to Iowa, where their two children were born. After college he spent 17 years with Nabisco, until he started his own business in the supermarket industry in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ev retired in 1996 and moved full-time to Harlingen with his wife Melissa.
He lived by dedication to service, family and friends. He dedicated many years of service to Loaves and Fishes, Rotary International, La Posada and Wesley United Methodist Church.
Ev is survived by daughter Wendy, sons Scott, Don, Mike and Steve, and many grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives Claire and Melissa, grandsons Darin and Jeff, and granddaughter Lauren.
Visitation will be Friday, May 26, 2017 at Wesley United Methodist Church from 9:00 am followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am.
