Evangelina Zepeda

SAN BENITO, TX. – Evangelina (Lina) de Leon Zepeda, 91, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 8, 2015. She was born to the late Domingo de Leon and Ernestina Garza on July 17, 1924. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Zepeda, infant son, Carlos Zepeda, sisters Elisa Balli, Eusebia de Leon, brothers Hector and Manuel de Leon.
Evangelina is survived by her two sisters, Raquel Leal of San Benito and Herlinda Guajardo of Ruskin, FL. She leaves behind her loving children to cherish her wonderful memories, Roy (Belia) Zepeda, Pete Zepeda, Robert Zepeda, Olivia (Robert) Pedraza of San Benito, Sylvia (Rudy) Martinez, Hilda (George) Galvan and Willie (Delia) Zepeda of Harlingen. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank United Home Hospice and Dr. S. Kotta. We also thank her care giver Rafaela Robles for her care of our beloved mom and to Irma Castillo, who for having known mom for such a short time, came to love her as her own.
Visitation will be held from 3PM to 9PM with the prayer of the holy rosary to be recited at 7PM Tuesday at San Benito Funeral Home, 1400 W. Hwy 77, 361-9192. A funeral mass will be held at St. Ignatius Catholic Church 10AM Wednesday with burial to follow at Zepeda Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Zepeda, Jr., Robert Pedraza, Jr., Peter Zepeda, Billy Rae Galvan, Rudy Martinez, Jr. and Willie Zepeda, Jr.
