Ethel Virginia Martin

Ethel Virginia Martin, 87, of Long Island Village, Port Isabel, Texas, went to be with our Lord on Friday, May 13, 2016.
She was born in Savannah, MO. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Jenkins and Hilda Cassady. She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, James (Jim) Martin and her brother, Earl Jenkins and his wife Mary. Virginia was blessed with five children, Kathleen (Kate) M. Martin and spouse, Kathy Kovacs, Patricia S. Nelson and her children, Joscelyn and Sean, James Martin, Jr. and his children Wayne, Laura, James, Shaun, Michael and Samuel, Diane Sherrill and her husband, Roger and Diane’s two children, Danielle and Kelly Adkisson and stepson, Taylor Sherrill, Paul K. Martin and his wife, Jill and children, Sara and Elsie and thirteen great grandchildren.
Virginia attended Red Oak High School and a business college in Kansas City. She worked her entire career of 25 years with the Federal Aviation Administration as a Budget Analyst. Virginia, our wife and mother, lived life to the fullest and was full of love and joy. We were blessed with her for 87 years and celebrate her beautiful spirit.
Please join the family in a Celebration of Life service at the Chapel by the Sea on South Padre Island, on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.
