HARLINGEN, TX:
Ethel A. Lamon, 83, beloved mother and grandmother took her final journey on Monday, October 29, 2007, greeting her at the gates of heaven were her parents, Joseph and Mary McQuade, husband Garthel, daughter Marianne, and sister Pauline.
Ethel leaves behind her loving sons, Donny, Tommy and Jimmy (Joyce) Lamon of Harlingen and son Robby (Virginia) of Bay City, Texas, grandsons Michael (Tracy) Lamon of Harlingen, Matthew Lamon of Houston, granddaughters Diana Leggett and Dallas Lamon of Dallas, Texas, Colby and Nicole Lamon of Harlingen, great-grandchildren Hunter and Lillian Lamon of Harlingen, sisters Helen Wood of Harlingen, and Dorothy Mays of Brazoria, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the special people who helped care for her Maria Elena & David Martinez.
Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2007, 11 a.m., at Harlingen-Combes Cemetery in Combes with Rev. Royal Jacobs officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lillian Lamon Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 531328, Harlingen, Texas 78553 or a charity of choice.
