Esther H. Corley, 93 passed away July 25, 2007 in Grapevine, TX. Mrs. Corley was a former long time resident of Harlingen. She had moved to Lee’s Summit, MO. in 1995 to be closer to family and in the past few years had resided in Grapevine, TX.
Mrs. Corley was born in Sioux City, Iowa on February 26, 1914. She lived in Iowa until she married and then moved Kansas before settling in Texas. She retired in 1979 from the Harlingen State Chest Hospital where she was a medical secretary. She was a former member of The First Christian Church in Harlingen where she taught Sunday school. She also had attended First Assembly of God in Harlingen. At the time of her death, Mrs. Corley was a member of The Worship Center in Harrisonville, MO.
Mrs. Corley is preceded in death by her husband, DeWitt C. Corley of Harlingen. Survivors include a son, Paul L. Fowler, Jr. of London, England and a daughter, Kathy Ross of Grapevine, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Friday, August 3, 2007 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Pastor John Murry of The Worship Center officiating. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 A.M. till service time at the funeral home.
