Ester L. Gutierrez went Home to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Ester was born to Manuel and Guadalupe Lopez on June 7, 1949 in Rio Hondo, Texas.
Left to treasure her memory are her husband, Daniel J. Gutierrez, her daughter, Sonya Yvonne Gonzalez (Eduardo), her son, Juan Manuel Gutierrez (Lydia), her grandchildren, Juan Daniel Gutierrez, Dustin Jaime Lopez, Justine Kerin Gutierrez, Brandon Gonzalez, Tristian Juan Gutierrez, Justin Jacob Gutierrez, her great-grandchildren, Melanie Love Lopez, Austin Levi Lopez, Noah Joe Lopez, her siblings Manuel Lopez, Jr., Fela Lopez, Samuel Lopez, Elizabeth Flores, and Robert Lopez.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Guadalupe Lopez, her brother Carmen (Freddy) Lopez, and sister, Flora Gutierrez.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Templo La Trinidad Asambleas de Dios, 213 Madero Avenue in Rio Hondo, Texas. Interment will follow at Rio Hondo City Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Juan Daniel Gutierrez, Dustin Jaime Lopez, Tristian Juan Gutierrez, Robert Lopez, Edward Lopez, and Jessie Flores. Honorary pallbearers will be Justine Kerin Gutierrez and Justin Jacob Gutierrez.
The Gutierrez family is grateful to the staff of Atrium Rehabilitation Center and Solara Hospital in Harlingen and their family and friends for their love, prayers, and support through it all.
