Esperanza Medrano

Esperanza Medrano, surrounded by her loving family, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 26, 2022.  She was born to the late Juan Martinez and Jovita Acosta Martinez on June 5, 1938 in Ganado, Texas.

Esperanza was a committed Christian and a longtime member of Templo Lirio de Los Valles in San Benito.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jesús Medrano, Sr.; her daughter, Maricela Medrano; and her parents, Juan and Jovita A. Martinez.

Left to treasure Esperanza’s memory are her children, Juan (Noelia) Medrano, Lydia (Juan) Torres, Anita (Pablo) Lozano, Jesús (Martha) Medrano, Jr.; Mario (Linda) Medrano, Manuel Medrano, Rodolfo (Laura) Medrano, and Oscar Medrano; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren, and her beloved pet “Champ”.

The Medrano family wishes to thank Dr. Brajesh Bhatla, MD, the nurses of U.S. Renal Care – San Benito, and the staff of Kindred Hospice for their compassionate care.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A celebration of Esperanza’s life and God’s faithfulness will begin at 6 o’clock on Wednesday evening.

A Homegoing Service will take place on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Chapel A of Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. Following the service, Esperanza will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jesús Medrano, Jr., Mario Medrano, Manuel Medrano, Rodolfo Medrano, Juan Medrano, Jr., and Juan Torres, Jr.
