Ernestine Marion Wirth, 83, passed away Saturday, March 7th. Ernestine was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on March 16, 1925.
Ernestine is survived by her husband of 63 years, Norman Swayne Wirth; their sons, Norman Wirth Jr. (Klasine), Nathan Wirth, Neil Wirth; three grandchildren, Natalie Holland (Lee), John Wirth (Amber) and Kristin Phillips (Andrew); mother, Marion Fern Holt; sisters, Lorene Kreusel (Al), Carolyn Nelson; brother Ray LeGrande (Kay); and many nieces, nephews, and loving long-time friends.
Ernestine retired from GTE of Weslaco. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Harlingen for many years and after moving to Santa Rosa transferred her letter to First United Methodist Church of Santa Rosa.
Ernestine enjoyed life in many ways, loved taking care of her family, fishing, and helping others in their many needs. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Visitation will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Monday, March 9, 2009 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 12 p.m. with Rev. Gerald Parks officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
