Enrique Hinojosa Davila Moreno III, “Hank” entered into eternal rest on March 28, 2017. Enrique was born and raised in San Benito, Texas on September 19, 1952 to Enrique Davila Moreno II and Irma Santos Hinojosa.
Private Moreno is a Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned a National Defense Service Medal and a Marksman Badge with Rifle Bar. He honorably served in the United States Army for three years. Enrique was very passionate about traveling and proudly drove to 48 of our 50 states in his tractor trailer. He was a lifelong learner and enjoyed being outdoors. Hunting, fishing and landscape gardening were some of his favorite past times.
Enrique is preceded in death by his parents, Enrique Davila Moreno II, Irma Santos Hinojosa, and his brother U.S. Army Sergeant Raul Davila Moreno.
Enrique is survived by the mother of his children Marisela Montalvo, his children Sandra Moreno, Enrique Moreno IV (Olga), Monica Moreno and Laura Moreno of San Benito, Texas; Two beautiful and amazing grandchildren Emma Moreno and Enrique Moreno V. Enrique is also survived by his siblings, Rita Arce (Bob) of Freer, Sylvia Garcia (David Hugo), Arnoldo Moreno (Veronica) and Celia Gonzalez (+Reyes) of San Benito, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. The pallbearers include: David Hugo Garcia II, Daniel Hector Garcia, Roberto Arce, Jr., Arnoldo Jesus Moreno II, Jacob Moreno and Max Echartea. Honorary pallbearer: Enrique Moreno V.
Hank touched the lives of many people with his charismatic personality, generosity, and heart of gold. He maintained his trademark sense of humor, constant jokes and legendary pranks. He was one of the greats and his legacy will forever live on.
Enrique Hinojosa Davila Moreno III, may his soul rest in eternal peace. The world is a lesser place without him.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
