Enrique R. Esquivel

Enrique R. Esquivel peacefully passed from this life on Friday, September 6, 2019 at his home in Rio Hondo, Texas.  He was born to the Hipolito Esquivel and Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez Esquivel on October 3, 1947 in Rio Hondo.

Enrique was a high school graduate, held an associate degree in Welding and Pipefitting, and was a retired welder.  He enjoyed watching football, playing music, spending time with his family, cracking jokes, and the beauty of nature.  Enrique was of the Christian faith.

Left to treasure his memory is his wife, Antonia Esquivel; children, Enrique, Jr., Eric, Richie, Joe, Enrique, and Giselle; 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters and 5 brothers.

Visitation will take place at San Benito Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Rio Hondo.  Following the Mass, Enrique will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jose, Esequiel, Enrique, Rick, Eric, Richie, and Damian.
