HARLINGEN/SAN BENITO, TX. – Emma Farias, born on November 1, 1929, died on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. She was 85.
Her parents, Dionicio Farias, Sr. and Lidia L. Farias; sisters, Arminda Mancillas (+Amadeo) and Dora Farias; and brother, Guilevaldo Farias (+Viola M. Farias), preceded her in death.
Survivors include her brothers Arnoldo Farias (Holda), Jose Francisco Farias, Sr., and Dionicio Farias, Jr. (Karen); sisters Hilda Chapa (+Daniel), Viola Martinez (Mauro), and Elena Perez (Alfonso); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are today, Friday, May 22, 2015, beginning at one o’clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o’clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o’clock in the evening within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at twelve o’clock in the afternoon, in Our Lady, Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 1425 N. Sam Houston Boulevard, San Benito, Texas 78586. Committal services will then follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
