San Benito, TX: Emilio C. Zuniga, 81, of San Benito, TX entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 18, 2013.
Emilio enjoyed spending time with his family; he was employed in construction and a field labor.
Emilio is preceded in death by his wife, San Juana Zuniga; his daughter, Yolanda Zuniga Quintero; and his parents, Melchor Zuniga and Rafaela Cerda Zuniga.
He is survived by his children, Guadalupe (Fina) Zuniga, Guillermina (Lupe) Rodriguez, Miguel (Paula) Zuniga, Mary (Harvey) Valdez, Norma (Rene) Davila, Emilio (Amanda) Zuniga, Jr., and Felly (Gumaro) Davila; his son-in-law, Hector Quintero; his 23 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and his 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral precession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Guadalupe Zuniga, Lupe Zuniga, Jr., Miguel Zuniga, Emilio Zuniga, Jr., Lupito Rodriguez, and Raymond Valdez; honorary pallbearer will be Hector Quintero, Jr.
