Eloisa "Lala" Nieto

June 6, 1933 — October 23, 2012

San Benito, TX – Eloisa “Lala” Nieto, 79  entered into eternal rest on October 23, 2012 at her home in San Benito, TX. She was born June 6, 1933 to Guadalupe and Beatriz Ramirez.
She moved to San Benito from Del Valle, TX at the age of 8 when her parents decided to find farming work in this prosperous city. She traveled with family members while in her teens to work in Lubbock where she met the love of her life, Raymundo (Papo). They married 5 years later in 1955.
With minimal education she found a passion to be a businesswoman as a vendor of household goods. You could find her every weekend at the Olmito Flea Market where she sold products for over 20 years. One of her favorite hobbies was to cook her delicious menudo, tamales, and chile con carne for all her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Roberto Ramirez, Jose Garcia, and Margarito Ramirez; and her niece, Maria Luisa Ramirez.
Eloisa is survived by her husband of 57 years, Raymundo Nieto; her children, Amador (Lupita) Nieto, Victor (Luana) Nieto, Irene (Soilo) De Leon, Jr., Ray (Susie) Nieto, Jr, and Mati Nieto; her 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; her siblings, Faustino (Sara) Garcia, Guadalupe (Donna) Ramirez, and Zenaida Ramirez; and an aunt, Juanita O. Acosta. Lala was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother to all her loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M with the Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. and Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Anselmo Prado officiating at San Benito Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ray Nieto, Jr., Amador Nieto, Jr., Michael Anthony Nieto, Robert Nieto, Marco Alejandro De Leon, Dallas Nieto, Antonio J. Mon, and Michael Lincon.
